Prompt: Won't fall in love...whoops, in love

_____________
Sherlock Holmes wouldn't fall in love, it simply wasn't possible.
He had spent the better part of his life believing this truth, operating on the happy assumption that he would never be one of the millions of humanity that would succumb to that particularly crippling ailing.
So it was actually surprising to him right in that moment, as he stared at Molly sleeping beside him, her smaller hand wrapped around his longer fingers, that of all the people he'd met, it was possible that he was the one that might have the keenest understanding of that feeling.
He lifted his free hand, carefully brushing his fingers over her lips, feeling her breath as it lightly escaped her body.
It was possible for Sherlock Holmes to fall in love.
And once he'd admitted that it was possible, it was then logical that however improbable it might have been, it was now the truth.
